Dysfunctional METRO celebrates late delivery of handful of rail cars (rah!)

With the sort of touch that the dysfunctional area transit organization has mastered, METRO held a celebration(!) this past week of the fact that their unproven rail car manufacturer (chosen as a result of what some have called a bungled procurement process) has finally delivered a few rail cars — some 8 months behind schedule.

While some secretarial journalists reported on METRO’s fanfare, KTRK-13’s Ted Oberg offered a more critical assessment:
