Retired Chron politics columnist Cragg Hines returned to the newspaper last weekend… in the travel section.
Hines had a nice write-up on the rebirth of New Orleans, replete with a list of his favorite spots for food and drink.
We weren’t the biggest fans of Hines the political writer, especially in his last few years, but he is an avid traveler and an interesting travel writer. We wouldn’t mind seeing more of his writing in the Chron travel section (especially since there isn’t much compelling travel writing coming from Chronsters these days).
