Leftist Chron editorial board thinks Harry Reid is House Majority Leader

The leftist Chron editorial board is, as readers might expect, all worked up today over Sen. Ted Cruz, upon whom they bestow faux praise for doing exactly what he told voters he would do before going on to lament that “good” Republicans like Kay Bailey Hutchison are no longer around, and that Cruz is just wasting everyone’s time by not playing the D.C. game of compromising his principles and getting on the pork barrel express.

We take their ideological stance (out of touch with a majority of Texans) pretty much for granted after so many years of observation, but are still surprised by the egregious errors of fact and copy that frequently infest the work of so-called professional opinionators:

Actually the end of the faux filibuster was prearranged. According to ground rules set by House Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., Cruz talked until noon on Wednesday.

Presumably, the leftists were still so worked up over former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay’s acquittal that they just blasted out the phrase without much thought (or without much copy editing, apparently).

Harry Reid, of course, is the SENATE Majority Leader.

But hey, other than the embarrassing error — nice screed!

UPDATE: Matt Bramanti caught the error (that the Chron’s editors missed) also!
